black house

Dualchas Architects persuasive integrity to the rigorous use of pure rectangular forms, the strictly limited palette of colour and materials, and the consistent purity of minimalist detailing throughout, which enriched by the inclusion of the art and artefacts of the owners, have succeeded in creating a calm, inviting and exceptional home. https://www.architecture.com/awards-and-competitions-landing-page/awards/riba-regional-awards/RIAS-award-winners/2019/black-house

Andrade Morettin Associates The house is built with exposed concrete and a modular wooden structure. brooklyn heights garden

Worrell Yeung Architecture “During design, we were focused on creating a backyard oasis; a small sanctuary to escape to but with a variety of experiences within the garden. rawene house

Stevens Lawson Architects A rough, textured insitu cast concrete wall forms a spine, defining the ridgeline and the circulation flow through the house. Landscaped courtyards open off either side allowing sunlight, air and nature into the heart of the house. The steeply angled roof planes and peripheral walls are clad in cedar shingles, like a […]
convex monohedral pentagon tiling

“building blocks”- 2 words I grew up with. be it LEGOs, MECHANO sets, or even sand castles-it all is based on building blocks. Another great example in this digital world is material mapping and […]
skyline house

Terry & Terry Architecture The design consists of channeling or framing the views from the West side of the property into the house and through to the garden area on the East side. Enveloping the open plan common space in a wood tube becomes the connector between the garden and viewing deck. https://archello.com/project/skyline-house

from porch to porsche…well almost

after getting the brief from the client and walking the site, we brainstormed a few ideas and added some more, shook our hands (or elbows) and turned around within a few days this renovation design. Not bad for the time.
