Advanced framing

While speed is all important in the construction world, making a few small yet cost and time saving changes provides a better long term result. See below for some of these ideas I try to incorporate in all designs.

i am not lazy, just passive

we spend a lot of energy designing and building a house, only to spend more energy maintaining it everyday-heating and cooling are not cheap!

is there a way to way to spend a little more money upfront, and save a lot of it through the life of the house?

can we stop thinking about a house as a commodity that we buy, and more like a resource that we hand to future generations?

while we may never stop having a “consumer” mentality, can we strive for a “conscious consumer” mentality?

enter passive buildings! as a concept, its a holistic approach to design and takes into account practices (some of which are around for ages!) and technologies (some of which are cutting edge!) that are centered around providing thermal comfort at optimal energy usage-aka passive.

read more about it here-and talk to me.
